Become a Volunteer

In order to be a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon, you must meet the following requirements: 

  • Wish Granters must be 21 years of age or older (Most other volunteer opportunities require a minimum age of 18 years.)
  • Submit an volunteer interest form now
  • Attend a New Volunteer Orientation. (view upcoming trainings)
  • Complete a Volunteer Application
  • Pass a criminal background check ($10.00 fee payable to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon)
  • Provide three references
  • Agree to abide by the policies and guidelines of the Foundation
  • Sign a Conflict of Interest statement. 
  • Have a personal interview with a Make-A-Wish staff member
  • Attend additional trainings as required for assigned volunteer opportunities and annual renewal of volunteer status
