Payton’s Wish Story Payton’s Wish is One of 27 Granted During Season of Wishes Six-year-old Payton and his family enjoyed a magical wish trip to Walt Disney World Resort. There, the Washougal family stayed at Give Kids the World and visited all the theme parks, where his mom said the “badge was priceless.” Thanks to the Make-A-Wish buttons they all wore throughout the trip, they received VIP treatment, including moving to the front of the lines, being approached by characters asking for a photo with Payton, and feeding the dolphins at Sea World. He even had the chance to be a “Padawan” on stage during a Star Wars skit, which his mom said “lit up his face” after not feeling well that day. Before Payton departed for his wish trip, he helped light the tree at Jamison Square to kick off the Season of Wishes campaign. Payton’s wish is one of 27 wishes granted this holiday season to local children with life-threatening medical conditions. Check out Payton’s tree lighting story on KATU: |
