Food, Wine & Wishes a Success

On October 25, 2008, the annual Food, Wine & Wishes gala auction took place at The Portland Art Museum and raised more than $305,000 for local children’s wishes.

The evening was truly magical with the presence of local wish kids who came to the event to help during the silent and live auctions and share their wish stories. One highlight of the evening was the presentation of “Katie’s Star” award in memory of wish kid Katie Morris, which was presented to professional bull rider Ross Coleman for his lasting impact on the Oregon chapter. Another exciting moment was the special appeal, lead by auctioneer Johnna Wells of Benefit Auctions 360 with help from wish kid Owen and Star Wars characters from the Cloud City Garrison, which raised more than $120,000 – a record for the event!
