Past Events: K103’s Make-A-Wish® Radiothon

At this year’s K103 Make-A-Wish® Radiothon, we raised nearly 50,000 dollars and more than 800,000 frequent flier miles for local children’s wishes.

On February 5, Bruce Murdock took over the airwaves all day on K103 FM from Summit Court in Washington Square to raise resources for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon.  The magical day consisted of wish kid montages, live interviews, an online auction and many celebrity appearances throughout the day.  Radio hosts Dana Jeffries and John Erickson assisted Bruce for part of the day, and Dana auctioned off some of her famous homemade pies.  Local celebrities Paul Linnman, Deb Knapp and Jamie Wilson donated their time answering phones.  Other fun appearances were made by the BlazerDancers and Blaze the trail cat, The Portland Winterhawks Dancers, and the Mascots for the Portland Beavers and the Timbers.
