At the 2nd annual Make-A-Wish® Radiothon hosted by KISS FM, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oregon raised nearly $8,500 for children’s wishes in the Southern Oregon area.

On July 9, DJ’s Gemineye and Troy brought excitement and enthusiasm to the airwaves on 107.5 KISS FM, broadcasting on a live set from Rogue Valley Mall in Medford. The all-day event raised donations from generous callers and mall shoppers, which also featured an on-site silent auction with various prizes ranging from tickets to the Justin Bieber concert in Portland to park-hopper passes to Disneyland. The magical day included recorded wish story montages and live interviews with wish kids and families from cities throughout Southern Oregon, who shared touching stories about their wish experiences. Wish Kid Sahara, age 5, stole the hearts of listeners, as well as Gemineye and Troy, while describing her wish trip to Walt Disney World. Other appearances were made by hourly sponsors of the event who presented donation checks live on the air. The day ended with a bang by raising several thousand dollars in the last hour alone!
