Past Events: Waffles & Wishes – EUGENE / SPRINGFIELD

With the support of Royal Caribbean and Cricket Wireless, the Oregon chapter hosted its inaugural Waffles & Wishes breakfast in the Eugene/Springfield area on May 26, 2010. Jennifer Winters of KVAL was the emcee of the one-hour event, and a crowd of 200 created a magical moment for 7-year-old Candon of Eugene. When everyone waved their magic wands filled with confetti, three characters from the Cloud City Garrison surprised Candon and attendees. Candon, who wishes to go to Disney World, also loves Star Wars and will be able to take part in Jedi training at the park during his upcoming wish. Friends at Horizon Air also presented gifts to Candon and his family making it a truly magical event for all present.  With the help of sponsors and generous guests, the Foundation raised more than $20,000 for Lane County wishes.
