Past Events: KOBI’s Miles For Smiles

KOBI NBC5 hosted the inaugural Miles For Smiles Telethon in Southern Oregon on August 19 to raise frequent flier miles for destination travel wishes.  It smashed the 500K goal and raised more than 658K miles during the all-day event.

Volunteers from Make-A-Wish, KOBI and Evergreen Bank answered the phones all day.  Wish kids Amy and Sahara stopped by to tell their experiences with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon.  Alaska Airlines matched up to 100,000 Alaska/Horizon miles donated during the telethon.  Thank you, Southern Oregon, for making local children’s wishes a reality.
