Nolan is a 16-year-old from Vancouver, Wash., who loves the 60’s era.  A huge fan of the Beatles, Nolan wished to have a replica costume worn by John Lennon from the cover of the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s album.  Nolan celebrated his wish at a 60’s party with family and friends last month at Portland’s Hotel Monaco and Red Star Tavern.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oregon has proactively monitored the impact of the economy on its operations over the last several months.  Like many other nonprofit organizations, it is affecting charitable giving to the Oregon chapter; however, the community at large remains very committed to the Make-A-Wish mission.

Sign up now to get some exercise and simultaneously help make local wishes come true by participating in Walk For Wishes® presented by Spirit Mountain Casino. The annual 5K walk and fun run takes place in Salem on April 25, and school groups, wish kid teams, corporate supporters, individuals and University organizations are encouraged to participate.

During this school year, several student groups and clubs have participated in the Kids For Wish Kids program, and one outstanding group is Beaverton High School. With dedication to helping make wishes come true and some outstanding Beaver spirit, this school is a great example of what kids can accomplish!
